libbambamc-dev software package provides Development files for reading and writing BAM (genome alignment) files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbambamc-dev
libbambamc-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbambamc-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbambamc-dev *
You will get with libbambamc-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
